History is preserved through photography.

 

Like these two photographs of my grandfather taken decades apart. The same soft smile and hopeful eyes, but a lifetime in between. I didn't take that first photo, but I'm so glad someone did. It's a window into who my grandfather was before I ever knew him.



That's the power of photography. It's not really for likes or a one-time social media post. It's for preserving a legacy- because your camera roll won't be passed down.
